This video will help you deal with an overheating laptop computer. A Dell laptop is used but these procedures will apply to most laptops. First, it may be a good idea to use your laptop with a cooling pad, especially if your doing gaming or other heavy graphics or CPU usage tasks. If your laptop continues to overheat, it could damage your CPU, Motherboard, etc not to mention slow performance as well. Clean out the air vents on the bottom case of the laptop and try not to use it around pets, pillows, blankest, etc. Open your computer up to access your Heatsink assembly. Clean out the fan as well as the vent near it. Then remove the Heatsink from above the CPU and GPU if your computer has that setup. Clean off the remaining thermal paste and apply your own fresh. If your computer continues to overheat, consider replacing the CPU.
